street king, with no money down, 400 a month for 60 months is some s*** like 27k.. so i know that was a bs statement, but its time to go looking around for new insurance tomorrow...

Actually, 400 x 60 is some s*** like 24,000. Only way that StreetKing's statement is bs is if you are not paying any interest on your car loan. Otherwise, you pay more thatn 20,500 cause you are paying for the financing. I put down like $1000 and am paying about $400/mo. Hell, I make like 40k a year and still it's not easy to make the payment. You might just have to save up for awhile.

s***........i pay a ton.........rent ($830), my p5 ($475), girlfriends car ($300), insurance ($200), phone, cable, electric, and my amoco gas card (about $150/month).

i also have $500 left to pay on my computer, $1000 left on my audio system. not to mention my credit card ($1200) and my circuit city card ($700).

plus groceries, spending money...............oh, and money for car upgrades :)........i know im forgetting things........

oh, and im only 23...............it sux

Ok Jay, ForceFed, now i don't feel so bad - thanks for cheering a guy up. Next time I throw a rod through my block I won't be so down. I'll just think, damn, I'm not quite as broke as **** as those suckers :) kidding.

Aric, Mike - you are officially declared postwhores. Next thing you know you'll start posting "I LOVE MY MAZDASPEED!" like that Neon-owning Dexter :)

Sorry I just had to.

A car payment should only total 1/4 of your monthly income to be safe. Remember, its a 4-5 year commitment.

1/4?!?! its 1/2 of my income rite now and i use the rest to buy parts/accessories each month... 0 leftover to prepar for next month lol :'(

1/4 would be like $90 a month for me

hey I could buy a hyundai for $9 a month
but I would shoot myself in the face than drive such a horrible car

Rent + Car Payment + Insurance + Utilities + Gas + Food is generally what income should go towards. If you have money left over after that you are doing good.
