well i live in new milford, ct..if you'd like to come down with him..rock and roll..
2 questions. does it have to have protege in the name? cuz the little mazda car is called mazda3 now. also I'm not in NE right now, but I'm coming back for good after this summer, so can I join now and show up like toward the end of the year or do i have to join later when I come back? Good idea slug, but I like the club name a little bit more open for all the small mazda i.e. 323, protege, mazda3, etc...

So yea, Mazda3 owners are more than welcome to join.
I want to create some kind of New England Mazda community for owners of ALL mazda models which NEPOC will be a part of. My thing was I wanted this to be a mazda protege/3/323 club because i acknowledge that I am in no way "in the loop" with 6 or 626 or rx7 or rx8 owners in the area but I am very much so a part of the protege community. I thought calling it the "protege" club would be ok since everyone knows their car is either the predecessor or the sucessor of the protege (323 or 3) and I imagine most members will be protege owners so it might be silly to have 323club or mazda3of new england
i hope 3 owners feel welcome to join our club, but if they dont like the protege name, they can always start a mazda 3 club on their own and we can all get together at the general mazda meets, but i dont think it will be a problem
And you can go ahead and join now, as long as you make one meet this year you should be fine (and we will in all liklihood behaving meets as late as November), and you can keep up to date with club happenings in the mean time.
In other news, I have been in touch with Enry and he will be creating either a NEPOC forum for us or a single New England forum. We are also starting to put together a sort of calendar for events for this year so if you have any ideas for fun runs, meets, shows, or anything else, send some info about them to protegeclub@hotmail.com
There are also a couple ppl working on club logos, everyone should feel free to submit one if they come up with something they think is appropriate and in the interim we will be using this: (bike) hehehe
further events to be posted as they warrant

guy's, one thing i think would be good...if we could get a list of all the NE members of the forum and send them an email inviting to get involved in the forum and NEPOC. i was looking through the membership list and notice a lot of members from NE, that don't post very much. maybe they haven't even visited the board again after they signed up. anyway, let me know what you think of that idea. i'd be glad to craft a message and follow up on this, if you think it's worth while. i'd love for us to have a huge turnout at our meets this year!! joe
