Good stuff man. i love the way it looks in mine. cant remember it or imagine any other way!! :)

I am fairly new to this site but have already been helped by spark plug and flashing air bag light problems. I noticed on another thread that people were suggesting using 215/40/17 tires for Mazda3 17 x 6.5 rims on a P5. Every tire I checked on Tire Rack for 215/40/17 has a 7 inch minimum rim width requirement. For the 17 x 6.5 rim 205/45/17 is suggested. I just bought a set of near perfect 17 x 6.5 rims off a 2006 Mazda3 and after much research was leaning toward the General Exclaim UHP tire. Any thoughts on size or tire? Thanks

205s for 6.5-7", 215s go on 7-7.5" regardless of diameter.

The 18s, unpainted headlights and no drop...not quite doing it for me.
But I do like the info in your sig though!

You should powdercoat those wheels gold, blackout your headlights, and lower it. That would look amazing IMO. I like how you tinted your tails all red in your avatar pic though! Looks great with the red P5's

what mods did you have to do to get them to fit. did you have to shave anything on the inside for clearance. i was told tsw's would not fit the p5. maybe it was just the one i was interested in.

x2 and what mods have you done to your rear fenders? I ask given the width and low offset of the wheels.

He probably hasn't done anything. I'd imagine it's just because he isn't lowered and/or hasn't really carried anything with any substantial weight in the back.

That said, he will have rubbing issues with weight in the back end right? IIRC the RX-8 wheels rub at stock height.

Yeah, but I think the RX-8 wheels hit the suspension if you don't use a spacer (I could be wrong). I think their issue is with being a 8" wide wheel with like a +50 mm offset.

ya they did rub untill I put my stock bumpstops in it wont , msp struts and springs. I have painted headlights the glare in that pic hides it. and no mo' gold wheels, had'em for past two years trying for different look, I broke the drivers tailight and had to replace it, havent painted it yet so I have mis matched lights.
I also have a set of mazda6 17" I was gonna use for winter, but there 60mm offset, do they really fit.
