Yes. its kind of strange from Mazda which for years did not allow touch on the infotainment claiming safety while everybody else did allow it. And now its 180 degrees the opposite

Just goes to show any corporation doesn't really care, it's just what sounds good in the marketing for the moment. For whatever reason guess they think people want these nonsense touchscreens.

We can hope. From what I am reading about the CX-90 PHEV, things are not great. Mazda obviously should have waited to release it (which may be why the 26 CX-5 isn't getting the hybrid right away).

Mazda is steadily dropping everything that attracted my wife and I to their automobiles. If I had to purchase a new car in 2026, I guess I'd be starting from scratch in my search.

The current Signature model is still more attractive and they can currently be bought with good discounts. Or you can wait and pay a premium for a new version with the inevitable new-release glitches and anemic performance.
