Winter is here, Where has everyone been riding this year. Lets get some pics posted, and here some story of where you went or are going this year. I got a few days in this year, but it has been unusually warm latey. Today the snow finnally starteed falling. Got a lot of rain/sleet in my area, but i here the mountains are getting hit.

I have finals this week, including one today (yes saturday, ridiculous) I plan on riding sun and monday though. Im so siked for an awesome season, and pissed NE has had such a late start.

Im heading out to CO to goto breck and keystone the 16th, hopefull i get some real snow while im out there.

Damn i wish winter would hit, where i go just got rocked with rain and temps of 45 degrees. They were supposed to open today if it hadnt been for the rain.

Ill just post a picture of my board.

Got my first day at Whistler/Blackcomb teaching some family friends.

Really crappy first day for me. Yesterday it was +9 deg C with 15mm of rain. Followed by today's -12 deg C. Result? Sheets of ice.

I heard the alpine was somewhat enjoyable. But, I can tell you for sure that the bottom 200 m was nothing to die for. :)

I've been 5 times so far this season, we got some unseasonably warm weather and the slopes closed for a week.

I've got to be at work as an instructor at sugar in 5 or so hours, so maybe i should go pass out.

Goin to Hunter next weekend...and probably once a week thereafter...with a few trips to Killington in between! ;)
Just have yet to start! I am getting ancy though...

I got to ride all day today, it was pretty sweet. Got a bunch of new snow, but some mixed rain also. There was some ice, but the wetter packing snow mad for a good early season base. Finally got to ride in the woods, without hitting a ton of rocks. Going again tomorrow, then finals tues and weds.

snowboarder (Ride, it's all about Ride) here.... 16 years. I live in WDC and can't stand the slopes around here. I might as well just go ice skating instead. If I really get the urge around here I go to Wisp but, I lucked out. My family has a 1,100 acre Ranch in Colorado. 15 min. away from Winter Park/Mary Jane resort. You can actually see the slopes from the 'upper' house. So I'm usually out there doing back country @ Mary Jane. A group of friends and I are heading out there in March. March is the best time of year for Colorado. That is why Winter Park gets the most snowfall in the state. Over 390" a year. If I had to pick an east coast resort would have to be Sugar Bush, VT. Man I loved that place. Just really, really cold.

The slopes around here do suck, but for a day trip they're okay. Snowshoe is pretty good, but you're right about Sugar Bush, its friggin freezing there :)
Awesome! You've been to Sugar Bush. I haven't been there since I was 16. Did you go eat Flatbread at the 'Flatbread' Resturant?? I highly recommend it.

Im heading out to Denver tomorrow at 8am. got a chevy aveo rental car waiting for me. Gonna ride Breck, and keystone. Im so pumped.

I have been ridin/skiing Sugarbush for ~19years now started at 3,started ridin about 10 years ago. I have a season pass there, i already have about 6 days in. Pouched castle rock monday and got to ride middle earth with a foot of powder, fresh tracks at the 3:00 in the afternoon. We had to hike for ~an hr to get over to that peak. It blew my mind, i love deep fresh snow. Im prayin for some accumulation outwest this weekend.
Flatbread is the s***, the paridise deli hooks it up as well.

The snow has been good latley, its been real cold, and lots of snow. Keep it commin

Lucky Bastard! Have a blast! I can't wait to get out there. Good thing here in DC Whole Foods sells frozen Flatbread. I'm about to go buy some today.

i have been to baker once this yr and after it warmed up then dropped in temp suddenly ....needless to say it was solid ice. the coverage was great for this time of the yr though and they already started carving their pipe and have a few rails and fun boxes up. their was a bunch of nice hits but all the landings sucked ... i will be returning nxt weekend probally and i will bring my camera this time....

Just finished up an amazing long weekend. Got to ride Vail friday, Keystone sat., and Breck on sunday. The weather was perfect, and the snow was great. No fresh snow on my trip, but there was plenty of freshies if you went into the woods. The back bowls at vail just opened, it was a nice way to start the trip off.

I have to say i had the most fun at keystone, the Jibs were off the hook, and the park was sick. Breck had the snowboarding grand prix all weekend, so it was wild there, and crowed.

I was to lazy to lug my camera around with me, but got a few camera phone pics of some mountains.

VT has been getting dumped on the past 2 weeks and it has been amazing.

I just arrived in utah this morning, and got a half day in at Solitude. They have a small park which is alright, but the snow and weather are awesome. today was about 50 degrees, i rode in a baseball hat and no jacket. Gorgeous.

must be fu**ing nice........ wa has been hit by a dry/warm spell for the last 2 mths making most of the snow melt....... we have a 40 in base in the end of feb...that is pathetic........
