I live in AZ I need AC.

You want to know how our summers feel. Turn on your oven to 120 degrees and crawl in and close the door behind you.
Hot and dry is not so bad. At least when you sweat, there is a purpose to it. Hot and humid is the worst.

That is our heat, hot and humid, FL is no worse than Brisbane, it's very similar, a pinch cooler even.

You should just buy a horse then. No AC and you will actually get it.

er... Do you use any antiperspirant or deodorant regularly?(boom07)

If AC is for pussies then why did you buy a car that even has it on there? Might want to take it off so you aren't driving the same pussy car that you're trying to bust on. Yeah "it's for pussies" means women love it when you take them somewhere & they don't have to sweat the whole time which means you get some pussy. Guess your palm doesn't mind going without AC. No AC would be great in places without summer or on a race car. Unless one or more of those conditions exist then you're just making excuses for something else.

has this ever gotten off topic . started out about a supercharger system ,then fuel additive ,now AC or the lack of . how about getting this back to the topic of the post and deleting all the post not on topic .

When I went to buy my 5, the salesman tried to charge me xtra for AC. "All right," I said, "Show me one that doesn't have AC. That shut him up quick.(poke)

Reply from Harrop...

I emailed Harrop a few days ago; got a reply just a bit ago. Perhaps someone in Australia with a 323 or anything else with an FSDE 2.0 or other variant can help out?

Dimitrios...

Thanks for your Mazda supercharger kit enquiry.

At this time we do not have a kit-type solution for the Mazda range.

We have been concentrating our development & engineering on the larger
Chevrolet & Ford engines, however we have begun the design of our some
of our other solutions and intend to release them during the next year.
One of our significant challenges is the availability of engine data and
the ability of installers to integrate the supercharger into the engine
management and calibration systems.

We will keep you informed as we continue to develop a comprehensive
range of kits.

Regards ...
Ken L. Nunn, General Manager, Harrop Engineering Australia

message:

Hello,

I'm a member of an online forum called MSprotege.com
(http://www.msprotege.com). There has been a grassroots effort over the
past year to build a supercharger for the 2.0L (and possibly 1.8 and 1.6
FS and BP engine variants) available in the US (known as Proteges here,
323/323F, Familia/Sport20s, elsewhere). The grassroots project has had
many delays, it is of unproven reliability, and is based on a
centrifugal s/c that requires the removal of "creature comforts", such
as the air conditioning compressor. Needless to say, a market exists for
this vehicle and it's variants for a reliable, supported, product (much
like the Jackson Supercharger kits available in the US for other makes).

The grassroots effort information can be had here:

Recently, this thread was created on the MS Protege boards, renewing
much more interest:

http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123620914 (with
discussions going back to 2003:
http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23987) and
http://www.clubprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21547&highlight=superc
harger, in which the setups may actually be OEM,. The threads were begun
by a member in Germany, along with foreign projects such as these to add
fuel to the discussion:

323F Supercharged:
http://masaa.cool.ne.jp/fmazda/member/syoukai/masato/masato.html

and

Tawainese install on a Ford Tierra:

http://www.aai-racing.com.tw/Super Charger/Tierra.htm

There are even kits for the 1.8L BP Miata:

http://www.kennebell.net/superchargers/mazda/miata/miata.htm

http://www.gomiata.com/vfenmisu.html

http://www.jacksonracing.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=38403

http://www.flyinmiata.com/projects/ubercharger.asp

(with the Miata/MX-5 certainly having less room than a
323/Familia/Protege; I don't believe physical room is a concern.

That said, there appears to be some connection between Harrop, Magunson,
and Bemani of Swtizerland: http://www.bemani.ch/english/home_en.htm

I would imagine that the feasiblity of such a product is not an issue,
as it has been done. Would your company have any information about this,
so should we contact someone else? Please advise as the interest is
great for the right marketer of such an item.

Regards,
Dimitrios
