OEM Mazda 3 Accesories = crappy quality

Hey guys,
Anyone know a good sunroof deflector for the Mazda 3? I've had nothing but trouble from the Mazda parts. (pissed)

First I got the Mazda 3 front cover. It didn't fit the hood correctly ( it was made by Mazda!! ) and I hardly could get it on. Then it looked like crap. (bang)

2nd, I got the sunroof deflector yesterday. I had a "sticker" on it with the part number. I had to scrap with my fingernail to get it off. Then it left some glue that won't come off. Tried alchohol based cleaner, soap, hot water, still looks like crap. Its just smudged over now.

Total crap. Why would they sell a front cover that doesn't fit and a sunroof deflector with a sticker that doesn't come off.... (shrug)

I'm taking it back to the dealer. I'm done with the Mazda accessories. I guess I find something aftermarket. Here's my opinion of Mazda at the moment.

That's odd, the sticker on the my sunroof deflector came off without any fuss. It was similar to one of those static cling decals.

Did you put the Mazda front cover on when it was cold? Mine fit pretty tight (You don't want them to be loose) but it was 45 degrees out. They will stretch some when they're warmer. Mine fits and looks really nice.

I also put the Mazda moonroof deflector on. Yes, mine had the same part number sticker on the underside. I used a hair-dryer and it peeled right off. Then I used Plexus www.PlexusPlasticCleaner.com to remove the adhesive.

Hope this helps,
Grey Ghost

can someone post pics of the sunroof deflector I want to see how it looks preferably on a 4door. thanks

I finally got it off with my fingernail. The "inspected" sticker was from 2004, so I think it had been sitting in the parts department at the dealer I got it from a long time. Anyway, I didn't get all the glue off, but I weighed going back to the dealer and bitching about it, trying to get a new one, etc against just putting the damn thing on.

I just put the damn thing on. I actually looks pretty good, once I get over that one little spot of glue. Maybe some time in the sun will burn it off.
