These small filters are very easy to cut open without contaminating with the housing. Thought you guys might be interested.
Here I was looking for signs of any magnetized particulate on the inside of the filter housing wall. My magnet holder was on for just under 3 weeks and there was no appreciable signs of ferrous material. Not sure if this is a deficit of the design or a dwell issue.
These pictures are ~100X, and are of a single media pleat directly across from the pleat seam. Engine with 1,230 miles on it.
