Odd request: Can I get some of your engine bay pics?

Looking at a MS3, mostly stock except for Fujita CAI and grounding kit. The plastics surrounding the IC are rubbed smooth. A little worried that the last guy probably raped the car on the road, causing the engine to rock back and forth so much that the plastic has been rubbed smooth.

Second thing. Engine has some kind of oil leak. Its coming out on the left hand side if you are looking at the engine from the front. Its not valve gasket, its somewhere lower than that. Does anyone have any idea?

Not very many MS3's, mostly Proteges. But I do see what I need I think, some of the cars are showing that kind of rubbing that I see in the car I'm looking at.

Now for the oil leak. Are anyone having any similar issues, I'm guessing timing chain cover or head gasket.

a friend of mine had an oil leak from around his timing chain cover on an 09; I think he had it fixed under warranty.

Sounds good that this isn't the odd MS3 with a leak, and good that Mazda covers it, hopefully they will for mine too.
