Octane rating from different gas stations

MA gas is about $2.11 for 87, close to $2.30 for 93. We don't have 94 here, they banned that last year because the government knows whats best for us, right?

i put 1/3 87 1/3 89 and 1/3 91 cause 87+89+91= 267 Octane!

I am not loyal to any one brand of gas. Gas stations here are too hit & miss. I prefer Shell or Chevron if I can find them, but I always buy 93 octane, wherever I get it. I also like to add a bottle of Techron to my gas about once every 15-20k miles to help clean out the fuel system. The only brands I will not buy are Citgo and off-brands, like RaceTrack, etc. because you can't be sure what sort of detergent additives they are or aren't using.

I like this information: http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers.html I need to read entire threads before posting!!!

The problem here in FL is that we are stuck with 10% Ethanol blend. Yes, Ethanol should produce slightly more horsepower (we're talking single digits, don't get excited), but I object to the governor's ethanol mandate for several reasons.

I'd run non-ethanol gas if I could find it in the Chicago area.

I only use 94 octane from Chevron, 92 from Chevron when I go down to Washington (don't know any gas stations in WA that have higher).
We usually have 87/89/91, with most gas stations having a 94 pump as well.
Gas has finally come down a bit here, but we still pay the most in Canada, if not North America. Filled up tonight at $1.11/L for 94. Highest I paid was $1.65/L about 2-3 months ago or so. For a full tank, that's a $28 difference........

Why are you running 94?

anyone else notice a performance difference between 91 and 93? I started using sunoco 93 and the car pulls more consistently whereas before it would only pull hard some of the time.
