OBX header

umm dude liverpool exhaust will make up the same one that was made for my car

they supply a lot of muffler shops Australia wide

sorry the measurements

these are in millimetres for accuracy

the pipe at the manifold measures 42x38 (width x height)
this continues out and down 260mm before the first bung hole on the 3rd cylinder....
continues another 420mm until it hits the collector
4 pipes into one collector of 150mm length... this is followed by a gasket to join the rest -

NB this is longer than the original exhaust so will require cut and welding

having said that if you live near an exhaust shop you could insert the mid pipe into extractor and drive to the shop.....if your installing it yourself

oh yeah cylinders 1 and 4 run behind the rest
cylinders 2 and 3 run in the front

i thought u bought a wildcat header? did that fall through?

I want obx because its stainless, the 2.0ltr version goes for $165 US on ebay, cant beat that

Good news all!!! Ken has re-opened Protege Garage!! That means that we might be able to FINALLY get our hands on a couple of those OBX headers for our 1.6s. Before Garage closed down for a while, it was the only place that actually listed the header for the 1.6 after everyone (including some companies) said that it didn't exist!! I already asked Ken a couple days ago if he will be selling the header and he told me that he will but has to find out if its been released or going to be released soon. Can't wait now!!! This will hold me over till I get my HiBoost kit in a year or two!!!

Rennen Motors told me they're available now, I'm just waiting on a quote & shipping cost.
They sell the 2.0ltr header for $189 so I'm hoping its similar..

And by "they're" you mean the OBX header for the 1.6 liter sedan, right?

if they cant get them, here is a way to get some, get the exhaust flange from wagner, then get the 2.0 header off of ebay, and get a local muffler shop to reweld the other flange on it..

good idea, but the 1.8/2.0l sits lower in the engine bay, you sure that it would fit around our engine?

i dont see why not, the header might sit a bit lower, but the flex pipe will flex that much for it not to worry about..

the flex pipe? dude the obx on the 2.0 sits butt up against the engine block
the flex pipe is about level with where your feet sit, and its a ball joint

flex pipe is under the car, i mis under stood for s second, i know the what you mean now, the engine in the 1.6l sits higher.. , you would have to measure to see,

thats it... hmm i forget sometimes i have a 1.8 in the drive way......

ok, just having a quick look, the 1.8 has the ball joint back further than the 1.6 btu the flanges are the same, and teh mid flange is the same too, but the OBX has its own flange anyway!!!

it looks shorter, but is a little hard to tell without having the keys to the 1.8 here!!!
