from everything i've read so far, it looks to me like these are the ones i want to go with, problem is, i can't find a place to buy them. tried the obx website, and it'll get me all the way to the part where it says "click 'order' button to add to cart" but there is no "order" button. anybody know a website i can order from?

only problem with that is i don't have the $ for the test pipe, high flow cat, or any fab work. obx may be inferior, i'm just looking to get something else aside from stock on there. my pre-cat is clogged and i want to get it off so i can replace my o2 sensors without frying them again.

Gotcha.

I'm not saying OBX is inferior. A lot of other people have and are still using it. I'm just saying this is a better design overall for performance, etc.

You can try Protegegarage.com for the OBX. IIRC he sells them for $240ish?

Personally though I think you'll be better off spending a little extra now for the Mazda Racing header.

i am a huge believer in 'you get what you pay for' so its not the matter of not wanting to spend more money, its the fact that i don't have the money to spend... but i want to get my clogged pre-cat off and my new o2 sensors on so i CEL will go off. i also recall reading about a fowler trick. had the same issue with my last car. put an aftermarket header on it and it still threw the CEL.

You can always gut the cat til you can afford a header and stuff.

problem with gutting the header, is the moron who put the last o2 sensor in cross threaded it, so if i pull it all apart again chances are pretty good i won't get another one back in. any advice on where i can find a header? i can't even find the obx on ebay, or through protegegarage.

i have one on my car that i want to sell i only bought it so i can drive to shows while my turbo setup was being built, its been on my car for about 3 months now with only 350 miles on it max,,,, it sounds good nice flow, i will sell mine 200 shipped
