Cap lost its oring, been leaking out refrigerant through the schrader valve. been looking for the correct tool to change it out without evac-ing the system. Until then, I need to replace the o-ring. Anyone know what size? Thanks.

You can get the tool at any auto parts store. It's called a service port kit, though in my experience the Schraeder valves included aren't the right size. The tool, however, is the correct one. A similar tool is used to remove a Schraeder valve from a tire.

The tool you are referring to requires evacuating the system. I am trying to avoid that. anyone know where to get a new cap?

New cap, probably the dealership. The ones I've found in generic kits don't seam to fit, at least the kit I got ahold of. If you want to have a go at replacing the o-ring, you can get a pack of universal o-rings at an auto parts store and try to match it up.

If the schraeder valve is leaking, technically that's what you should be replacing, but I get trying to avoid that.
