Note: Cross-drilling nor slotting provide any benefits

Yes, I already did know that the discs are carbon fiber but the point was, which you missed, that the holes in the disc are there for a reason and not just for show. In this case, especially to dissipate heat.
I guess the point that I missed was where racing for 24 hours even remotely equates to you driving around on the street. There's a big difference between having to constantly slow down from near 200 m.p.h. and rolling around town. Too many people think that just because it's good for a race car, I need it for my street car. If that were the case, we'd all have 500 c.i. blown nitro motors in our cars, cause, well, they're good for Top Fuel cars, so it must be good for the street.

There is also a difference between soft driving and aggressive driving and a geo metro vs a ferrari- If you are into modifying your car, what you look to emulate is the race cars. So although people may not have a 500 c.i. blown nitrous motor, they may have our 2.0 turbo'd or with nitrous- is either really practical? Probably not, but it's fun.
