You might also now want to try to lightly blow your nose since im sure its all bloody/boogered up

next time you get one put an ice cube in a plastic baggy and wrap it with one layer of paper towel, plug up your nose with a tissue and press the ice cube HARD onto the side that is bleeding, it will both cut off the flow because of the pressure and will thicken the blood and slow it down, it works really well and i get bloody noses alot

also, here is something they won't tell you to do in the hospital, when you get it to a point where it isn't dripping but is still very moist, breath in and out really really fast and hard, be carefull not to hyperventiliate, what this will do is dry out the blood in your nose and heal it faster

a good way to prevent them is to put a tiny blob of vasline in your nose, put it on the tip of your finger and stick it up there and rub it around, (then wash your nasty finger)
it will keep your nose moist and happy

hm go to a doctor if you have that more often than -once-, spontanious bleeding is often a sign for a beginning leukaemia...
