I know nothing about Nitrous Oxide , but I was wondering is a 55 shot the most we can go with and it be safe? Or if we do other upgrades can we go with a higher shot like say a 75 shot?

I think you'd be fine, just make sure you change your plugs and make sure the fuel is right. According to most of the stuff I've read about nitrous and from most of the guys I know have used it a lot. 75 would be the highest you should risk going to. Only do short contolled bursts too. Don't squeeze for long periods of time either.

When refering to nitrous please use the symbol for it(N2O) and not a name brand(NOS).

Now a 65 shot is pushing it. So I would not go with a 75 shot unless you have a pile of money on stand-by to replace springs and rods. You also have to find a way to retard the timing in our cars seeing as how they are distributorless(sp?) If you go with a 75 shot then you have to retard the timing by 4degrees. So maybe an aftermarket ignition system like an MSD would do the trick. With the 55 shot there is no retarding involved so it is the easiest and cheapest way to get started using. But if you have the money then by all means go for it. :D I would like to hear from someone who has felt a 75 shot in our cars.

The 55 shot is pretty good for our MP3's. I semi-raced this early 90's model Mustang with a few mods and a Pontiac Grand Prix with what sounded like a supercharger last night and left'em. I had a little of a head start but they couldn't catch me :D hehe I was laughing my ass off! Now I know why they call this stuff laughing gas, HAHA! ;)

OK, it is up to me to ask the stupid question: What is a "shot"? I thought that a 50 shot vs. a 75 shot was how many times you could spray N2O...now it seems like a measure of how MUCH you spray each time. Judges?

#36/1500

well heres my idea since i dont know what it is either but i think its more like the amount of n2o you put in your tank. like 55psi of n2o.
