How Do I get the Rear door panels off?

I just got the car today and drove it back from PA to TN (10hrs) and am trying to get some little things done tonight.

Formal introduction to follow

Thanks.

Its a 2002 Protege5 black on black

The door panels have little clips that hold them on, just get a flathead screwdriver, I'd start at the sides.

Yea Ive got a bone tool Im using and have most of it off, but there seems to be something in the middle of the door not releasing. Ive removed the one screw in the door handle area.

Ill take a pic and BRB.

This seems to be where my problem is

There are clippy things in that area too, try prying off the large handle on each side and grab it in the middle to twist it a little too. Those will come off too I think.. been a couple years since I took off door panels.. if that's what I'm thinking of, those handles are a b****.

Oh yea you have to pull that handle off. It should pull out and slide out. There's one or two phillips screws in there. Don't be afraid to pull on it to get it off.

Well after some more time I got it off. Got the new speakers in and replaced everything back. They sound much better. I went with some Pioneer's that I had bought for another car a bit back and they didnt fit (Volvo's special).

Now I just need to make some time to replace those front ones. This stock stereo is just weaksauce.

Good to head... however most stock radios are "weaksauce"

Yea but not like this.

4 speakers at 25watts that are all in crap locations.

Ive got two other cars with stock radios and speakers and they blow these out of the water.

Try an extended cab 94 f150.... the stock p5 radio rocks in comparison.

lol i know EXACTLY what you are talking about. lol i got a friend with a 94 ford truck. he ended up replacing the speakers, putting 3 amps and an extra battery and 2 subs.........excessive lol If u turn the speakers on fulblast on the right side this might just happen(bump)
