Non-Bose Audio Specs ??

I'm looking at getting a 6S with the sport package but not the Bose audio package ($635 CRAZY!!!)

Does anyone know how the standard stereo system sounds? I could just pop in some better 6x8's (they are 6x8's right ??) after I buy it and maybe add a small amp or something. I heard that the Bose wiring is weird and harder to modify

Any comments or help is appreciated.

Adding another sub is no big deal with the Bose. IMO that is really the only thing the Bose is lacking, but it is still factory, and you will get better sound replacing everything. The factory sub is very weak.

um...yeah the non bose is aiight...when ever you turn the volume up to 6 it's rattling and s*** like that...I'm gonna get rid of them and get deck speakers cuase I seriously notice they aren't there....why do they do that cause cts and impala have the 6x9 and the center sub at the same time? thats the only petpieve is the sound system....neon with stock speakers sounded better before and after subs in trunk.

Yeah I dont see what all the noise (no pun intended) was about on the Bose system in the first place, as far as I know, alot of people that are on Cardomain.com are changing the system, Bose or not. But lets be honest here, no one wants to show off their pimp ride with the stock system. I think the deck is fine, just run an amp, a couple of 10s and you're set, unless you're into shaking the shingles of the roofs of houses as you drive by.

yeah I got 2 10's and they were nice(band2) But I don't go around setting off car alarms with it...thats where the intake on my other car came in ...I seriously didn't understand why the speakers didn't make it to the deck...nobody sits in the back of the car cause almost everyone I know has a car!

Does anyone make a replacement sub and amp combo for the 6s that uses the stock wiring?
