nokian rsi vs blizzak ws-50

:
GLA45
which winter tire would you choose and why? the nokian has better wear and is slightly better in the dry, the ws-50 is slightly better in the snow. same price, so which would you choose?

I have the nokian rsi so Im biased, though I dont think I would ever switch to another brand cause I would hate to be disapointed.

i'm biased too cause i had the rsi predecessor, but i may get adventurous and try the ws-50 :) i don't think i'll be disappointed performance wise with either, but one may be better than the other

I ran the WS-50's last winter and I have to say that I loved them in the snow. They were very good, course I was comparing them to the stock Dunlops that I ran the winter before.............. Seemed to wear pretty good too, I put on quite a few miles in a year. Dunno for sure how many miles I put on thru the winter but I am guessing I can get 2 more winters out of the blizzaks easily. I tend to go easy on them during the winter when the roads are dry so I don't waste em too early.....

as long as i get 2-3 winters out of them i'm ok with it, the wear thing is just what i've read on the internet. i do know that after 2 seasons on my hakkas though it looks like i could go another 2 at least

another complication, i want to go ice racing a time or 2 this winter, so i'm thinking the ws-50s would be better for that

I have the WS-50's and loved them last winter. I was driving through 6-8" of undisturbed snow with no problem.

Biased again since I've never tried the blizzaks, but I love my Hakka Q's (third winter now, have at least two more in them). Very good in all winter road conditions, and two ways they're better - as compared to what I've been told about the blizzaks - are the fact that they're a winter tire through the full tread (blizzak is only winter on the outer half, and all-season on the inner half; personally I want my money's worth if I'm buying a winter tire) and they don't wear excessively on dry pavement or in warmer weather like the blizzaks do. I'd get Nokian, but that's my two cents.
