Noisey Noisey Noisey . . .

I have read some messages that state they hear wind noise @ highway speeds. However, has anyone heard noise from the rare, the trunk area. My family says that my car is really noisey and I agree. My sis has a '98 626 and it's much quieter. I hear noise from every where the windows, the engine, the tran, and as stated before the rare. It sound like they forget to put sound lower material everywhere. Anyone else feels the same way.

i had a 2001 jetta loaner the other day and it was much quieter too.

It's a loud car. kind of just the way it is built for handling/performance. The exhaust system is louder than other cars on purpose. I haven't had any window whistling (this may be mistaken for tire noise on certain road surfaces) But the tires are the biggest part of the reason for the noise. Also I've noticed a HUGe difference in noise depending upon the surface you are driving on...also, due to the tires. Try to do some of the things you would do in the MP3 in other cars and you'd feel the difference.
I think if you were to put 15 inch rims and all season radials not meant for performance and it would sound like any other car.
Only my thoughts...I could be wrong.
:D
