Hi Guys, I recently installed a Pioneer headunit on my 2. Does anyone know if there is a different wire to power the backlighting for the steering wheel and temperature control knobs? I believe I do have everything wired correctly as everything else works. It is just at night when I turn on my headlights the steering wheel and temp knobs should light up but they don't. If anyone has any ideas or has experienced this, your help would be greatly appreciated. I have checked the fuses under the hood as well as on the left side fuse box and all are good. The scosche harness had 2 illumination wires and neither one will light my steering wheel and temp knobs. All the other wires on the Pioneer harness and scosche harness have a match. However, it does look like there are wires on the factory harness which don't have a mating wire to the scosche harness. I have seen other posts on here about aftermarket stereos but no mention of anyone with this problem.

FYI, I am using a scosche ma03b harness with an axxess SWC for my steering wheel controls. As mentioned above everything works except for the lighting around the temp control knobs and steering wheel. Thanks so much.

+1 to blown fuse. The wiring that powers those lights doesn't run through the stereo, but if you shorted the stereo's illumination wire (to turn on the stereo's backlight when you turn the headlights on, etc.) it would probably blow the fuse that lights up the steering wheel and temp knobs.

Well I have checked the fuses under the hood as well as on the driver side of the dash. All fuses looked good but I will definitely check them again. Thanks guys.
