No Headlight on Reminder Tone

(dunno) I discovered today that the LIGHT ON REMINDER TONE does not sound on my car. I got out of the car with the headlight switch in the on position, and no beeping or anything. The lights did turn off after 30 seconds or so, but no aural alert. The manual does mention LIGHT ON REMINDER being adjustable in the info cluster, but in the SETTINGS I cannot find anything regarding the LIGHT ON REMINDER. Can you check to see if your GT - Tech has the reminder?

The CX5 GT has an automatic headlight on/off feature. The cx5 Touring has an automatic headlight off feature.

Because of this, you can set the amount of time the lights stay on before they automatically turn off. This is done in the settings menu in the infotainment screen under the "vehicle" tab.

Since they turn off automatically, there is no need for a reminder sound when you exit the car. However, if you turn off the automatic off feature, the car will have a reminder sound to turn off the headlight.

I set the auto headlight off to 0 second delay, so when I walk off I can visually confirm that the lights are off. Same for cabin light as well.

I never understood the "lights stay on after turning the car off" thing or why anyone would want it.
As anyone who has ever left their lights on and killed their battery will tell you, I want to see those lights off!

Its nice if you park in a dark area so you can safely move to where you need to be by the time they turn off.

I love that they stay on for 30 second I work nights and when I get home the headlights stay on long enough for me to see my way into the house

"AUTO" headlights off works great, default is 30 seconds which is my preference.

0,60,90,120 are choices via personalization features.

Yes if you turn your auto headlight settings to off or 0 i forget what off is for the setting then you will receive an audible alert when you open your door with car off and lights are still on.
