no constant boost???

damn then what's wrong with my car? boost leak, i didn't know that it wasnt normal. sorry first FI car.

umm, how do u know that it is your BPV that is venting the air prematurely?
maybe it is a leak in the pipes (like i had), or a leak in one of the vacuum lines?

got the forge bov recently and hopefully its not that,
wouldn't a leak in the vacuum lines cause my hq. to rise. it's staying at a steady 20 hq. even up to 23 at times...
how would i find a boost leak in my pipes? (got hardpipes).
how do i do that?

whoa dude thats a big drop..even for a restrictive exhaust..doubtful
Werd HUnky! When my Little Joey P MBC was in it would hit 12PSI and slowly go to 10 before I shifted all stock exhaust. YES I WANT A NEW EXHAUST!
But the new casa comes first :)

i'm pretty sure there was.....especially in second gear.
every MSP i've driven that ran higher boost had it, some more some less.

maybe u got lucky :D
who knows....there are people here that never had hesitation......
Yes I never really had the HESITATION! Maybe I got the MAGIC Mazda Speed (rockon)The MMSP if you will...

there u go ^ :D

and gotturbo, check your valve, dont know how forge works, but try tightening it.
theck the clamps on your hard pipes.
ususally mechanics use butane lighter gas to find leaks. just pass the canister over the joints while releasing some of the gas.....if there's a leak yur RPM's would jump up.

i think that it's my mbc that is defect.
my friend have the same mbc and his boost
don't drop like mine (smoke)

maybe the spring is not holding it.
i've heard a few people repplacing the springs on their XZ's

thanks Dr.Soound. i'll try that

I change my mbc and i get a high flow
cat, i set my mbc to 9 psi. The boost always
drop to 5.5 psi past 4500/rpm. I think is the
wastegate. I see a rod on the actuator to the
wastegate i can adjust it ????? (dunno)

The wastegate is adjustable via tightening or loosening the screw found on the end of the rod. You can also just bend the rod, this will shorten its distance forcing the wastegate acuator to have to push out further to open your gate. Its an old trick we used to do on the DSMs.

Not to thread jack, but I've been noticing that on my stock MSP I'm not hitting max boost (5.5 psi for me) until like 4500-5000 RPM. Seems like this wasn't the case last year. Really, the boost just crawls up there, doesn't usually start until 3500 RPM.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but that doesn't seem right to me.

Any thoughts?
