Nitrous on Mazdaspeed

Wasn't sure about posting in engine and performance or forced induction. The 03.5 mazdaspeed currently has 3" downpipe & exhaust, hiboost front mount, injen intake, jet ecu and obd port reflashed. I am curious if throwing a 30-50 shot of nitrous at this would hurt anything. I know these cars are known for running pig rich at WOT so i can't see it being a problem, i am curious however if anyone is doing it while boosting 9-10 psi. Any comments or suggestions would be great.

A NOS would just add instantaneous stress on an already stressed engine, it might be too much, build the engine first.... make those pogo-sticks inside the FS-DE a little stronger.

Please elaborate on your ECU setup, I am also interested in this 'Jet' that you mention. Sounds like your modding is going in the right direction, you have all the good bolt-ons.... the next mod you should be looking into would be forged internals.... if you don't really want to go that route, then don't do too much more to the engine, and def. don't boost any more than you are.

Nitrous is a bad idea on the stock motor, even NA Proteges are blowing up on spray because of the stress it adds, not the power increase.

Before I built my engine over I was spraying 125 on stock internals but I left parts on the track at moroso but it actualy lasted 6 months before it happened would not recomend this .

The Jet chip invovled sending the ecu to them and having them program it for the specific mods being done to the vehicle, it was mazdaspeed specific and a half hour phone conversation was had with a tech before they set it up, seems to work great. As far as the n20 goes thats kinda what i figured, have seen plenty of people pop their motors around 12 lbs but handt heard anything about people using juice, better safe than sorry, just throwin it out there.

N2O on a stock motor is insane. I would love to see what a 50 shot on top of a GT28rs running 15psi (cools the charge and adds power) with a properly tune on the MPI and a MAM shortblock would do
