I'm thinking we could run that Bear Notch road a couple of times really. Maybe scout it out for pedestrians and cops. Then keep an eye out so we can run back and forth a couple of times without much fear of cops and tickets. We can have spotters for the police and for traffic. Sounds extremely dangerous and fun as hell.
Cops...hah
pedestrians...hah hah

Read that story...the only thing you need to watch out for are 1200 lb sacks of meat propped up on pipe cleaners. Bear Notch road is an access road that goes from nowhere to nowhere else. However, if you run into a local yokal in his 1973 dodge pickup it will make for a real boring adventure.

Anyway, a good loop is to start in Jackson, take the Kangamangus to Bear Notch to Bartlett. Then hang a left onto 302 through Crawford Notch, follow to Bretton Woods and take another left, follow that until it reaches 93 and take 93S through Franconia Notch and back to Jackson.

yes!!!! nice loop!!! we gotta do this, no dx and a pick up truck :(

I just wish it wasn't so damn far. That ride up 93 to Jackson is so boring, and going the other side (route 16) will drive you crazy if you get stuck behind a trucker.

Who ever takes the lead should have a navigator with a map...Knowing the road is a big help. The Kangamangus is marked well with turn signs (especially when you get to the nasty hairpin...see second image) but Bear Notch is not.

Ok guys I am in for sure. Just let me know which weekend and it's on like donkey kong. I am running low on rubber though and I am not putting new tires on before winter since the snows are going on soon.

get your car back greg?

(chair) Nope still no damn car. I was actually just on the phone with the place for another 10 minutes with the service manager. They are going to send it to a suspension shop to look at it with a fine tooth comb. They can't duplicate the problem. I can do it every single time I want to but I can't get there during their open hours.

If I am going forward and I lay into the brake pedal i get a *SNAP* noise from the front left suspension. The car will still drive straight and it will only do it once. If i get going and lay into the brake it won't do it again either.

Then I stop the car and accelerate hard (especially hard and to the right) and it goes *SNAP* again but only once. Once again if I stop and then take off it wont do it again unless I "reset" the problem by slamming on the brakes.

WTF car drives straight and holds an alignement but damn, on some twisties sometimes it sounds like my control arm is going to tear out of the car.

and mark, im jk about the truck. though I would love to go ATVing somewhere other than the same old trails in my hometown as long as the weather is nice the msp luvs twisties

Ryan are you going to go to this? We could swap seats then if you go. Whether my car is fixed or not I am going to take it back for the weekend. Noisy suspension and all.

I'm not in NEPOC and I'm down this with. I suggest Nov.8. But I'm down for the first 2 weekends of Nov. Like everyone say holiday season is near.

I'm also down on tire too. Gonna get some new rubber next season.

we are going to swap. I was going to buy a black leather kit from NW Leather and Ryan was going to buy MSP seats. This way we can just swap seats without reupholstery.

thats what i asked him before becasue the P5's rear seats bottom pops up and goes towards the front of the car when the back folds down where the bottom part was. I know my sedan's back just folded down over the bottom of the rear seat. Was almost flat where the P5's folded flat.

I dropped greg a PM.

Slug, you have an 03' version and how do your rear seats fold down? I know greg has the 03.5'

i know the back seat in my car has a removable head rest when in the sedan it has the pre-built headrest in it.

Eh..let me know when it is..I've been having wicked bad blow-back problems (My car consumed 4qts of 15w50 in 3 weeks) New car is up in the air for a little while whilst I get the DX stable..I need to know a date and place..I have tires/struts/alignment that HAS to be taken care of before I attend a meet.
