This old story just makes things even more confusing. Both the 3rd gen 6 sedan and wagons have AWD offerings in other markets. The only difference is that it sounds like they're mated to their diesel engines.

But they say that the AWD can only be mated to the 2.2 diesel.
The length of the bonnet to me suggests that it should fitwell, no crap. but that's most likely not the problem with fitting the 2.5T in the CX5! it would be due to length, not height.
So probably the diesel packaging is different from the 2.5T. Perhaps the exhaust plumbing doesn't require as much space. That might explain why they haven't offered the 2.5T in the CX-5.

that's pretty unscientific. looks can be deceiving.
We in the U.S need to petition Mazda to bring the Wagon over. This is insane that we can't have it. Even if they just allowed customer orders it would be nice. That wagon is stunning!
