Not yet...they are working on this problem. We expect to hear something within the next 30 days:) . But if the fix affects the Emissions output to a large degree than the fix will be about 60 days:mad: from now.

That is what we have heard so far.

This is the EXACT info I have also recieved from a reliable source. :D I trust it, as it HAS come from the mouth of a "BIG TIME PLAYER" at Mazda NA. :D Yippfuqingyay

Oh, I've read and read and read all there is about hesitation. I'm hoping to get JoeP's FPR kit soon and install it to see if it helps out with it.

Thanks for posting this info Irr. Can never have too much news regarding the hesitation problem.

Whats the deal about pushing 200hp? Is this just some rumor, or is this what the ecu flash is gonna do?

if the ecu flash does anything, I'm predicting less power, not more. Just no way in hell, I can see Mazda giving us a flash for 200hp.

All rumor

well, according to Joe, he feels that they are going to pull fuel, AND timing, which will lead to a small power loss. I personally am willing to lose 5-10 hp for a damn car that does not fall on its face, nor stumble. I can get that 5-10 hp back on my own .:D

I seriously doubt they will take hp away, I will go ahead and make this concerne aware to Mr. Cheavens, along with my Baseline Dyno numbers. I will also make it aware that I will dyno my car AFTER the Remapping. :D

So does everyone feel better now? j/k :D

Yeah :) If its only 5-10 hp I guess thats not too big a deal..but it would be nice if they could fix it w/o taking away power...

i think the problem is the intercooler pipes is plastic and all the engine area is very hot the first 20-30 minutes the car run good
when come hot beging the problem

the first msp that test car & driver use other tipe of pipe metal & silicone and the car run without problem and with much torque steer and .5 sec more fast in the 1/4mile and 2 seconds faster to 100 mph in the second test the car use plastic pipe and the car have a lot of problems and this cost to mazda the first place move to thirth behind the focus svt

Plastic vs Alum piping should make some difference. We'll see...it'd be nice to move that IC somewhere more efficient with a hard pipe replacement. I'll have to talk to Terry about that regarding his kit...working on a cooling concept for the IC, too...slow going, though. I'll update if I come up with anything.

Also...note that the MSP was one point behind the focus (2 behind the neon) and here's why: the editor's at C&D are mostly old farts who want good handling AND comfort. So while our scores where high on handdling, they took away points for the suspension being "too stiff" and the radio buttons being too small; they even suggest making the radio an option!?! Re-re's...I have no doubt that I would still choose this car over the other two, even after knowing all of its problems.

The test by Motor Trend where it pulled high 14's was done on hard pipes. I saw a photo of the car with the hood up and it most definitely had hard pipes on it. This was a very early model MPS in late 02 I think it was in October. So maybe hard pipes might be worth a look.

Cheap Bastards!!!

It would not have cost Mazda that much more to use aluminum piping. Fucksticks!!

if mazda won't replace the piping to aluminum, how much would it cost us the enduser to replace them ?
