The new M3 will be getting the old M5 motor (V8).

The rear looks too plain and simple for me, but it is growing on me also. I like the front though.

the new M3 will not be getting the old M5 motor. That one displaces 5 (really more like 4.9) liters. The new M3 engine will be either a 4.0 or a 4.2 from what I have read.

No its an all new V8. Its using technology from the V10 that is in both the M5 and M6.

Yes it will be based on the current e90 sedan. What BMW needs is a M3 sportwagon.

i heard bangle didnt design the e90, so its not as "bold" as the other BMWs that he's worked on. i wish it was because the new 3-series has lost a lot of its personality in the name of sales. they tried to mimic bangle's DNA but heavily sedated it because of all the negative feeling of the 7,6, & 5-series designs. this coupe is no exception. now that lexus has upped their visual design for the IS & the immense popularity of the Infiniti G-series, the 3 has me a bit disappointed as far as the visual design goes.

Bangle didn't design the e90 nor did he design the sedan. The person that design the e90 sedan is the same person that design the current 5 series before the recenet release one. It's some japanese dude..

The e92 328xi will have AWD as an option. The 328i and 328xi will use a detuned 3.0L that will be rated at 230hp and 200lb-ft of torque.
