Your header should turn the same colour all around if you use gloves when you handle it as you are installing it and/or you clean it before you heat it up.

Mine has turned a nice deep purple/brown with no fingerprints or anything of the sort on it...I'll try and take a good pic if you'd like but its gonna be hard.

as long as it changes evenly, i think it will look fine. does anyone know how much of a difference it makes getting a header ceramic coated vs. no coating, in terms of temperature and performance gains?

Two questions - Shall I assume that the intake goes into the driver's side hole pointing toward the ground? (Love to see a picture of that.)

Secondly, what the hell is "SRI" and why should I want one?
