2012 CX-9 Mica Blue AWD Grand Touring, NAV, Moonroof
Hello all --

New to the Mazda family after replacing my wife's old Chevy Trailblazer with a shiny new CX9 Grand Touring. Test drove a Highlander, the GM cousins (Traverse, Acadia) as well as the CX9....and it was a no brainer! I'm also a member of Subaruoutback.org (the "other car") so this looks like a similar, friendly place.

Pics to follow once I get a chance to pour through the owner's manual and figure out everything...

Look forward to participating,

Ken, aka BuffFan

Thanks Gang..... Still updating things here, but the net of my new CX9 and a few thoughts --

Got the Mica blue, AWD, roof rails, cargo net, NAV, sunroof, all weather mats. (I would've bought WeatherTech's but I liked the look of the Mazda ones so went with 'em). I did get a WeatherTech cargo liner for behind the 2nd row seats. Also got the factory hitch, which in hindsight I would reconsider. 1.25" receiver is kinda wimpy. Pic's I see here of others' aftermarket installs looks fine, I was originally concerned it would look "tacked on" and possibly sit a bit too low with the under-bumper mounting.

Next on the list -- crossbars. I need to make a trip to the Rack Attack store next weekend and check my options. A 100# weight limit for the factory cross bars doesn't seem all that usable unless you're just carrying a couple of bikes. I have a hitch-mount bike rack from the Blazer (bought an adapter so it works), but want to carry a cargo box occasionally.

Pro's - handling, ride, power, pretty much everything.
Con's - nothing yet. (Wife complained about gas mileage but can't have your cake and eat it too... :)
