Hi everyone!! I am new on board!!!

planning to get a Mazda 3 Sport GT (but also consider P5 with all the good deal now)... but I have one question.

I have a set of 15" steelies with winter tires on, just wonder if those would fit on both car no problem?

also, what's the bolt patten for both car?

thanks for all your help!!!

Hi and welcome to this board.

Unfortunately, I believe 15-inch will NOT fit on the Mazda3 Sport GT, you'll need 16-inch steelies.

Reason for this is that all N. American-spec 2.3l's come with 300mm(f) 280mm(r) rotors, and just by visualization it can be seen that 16-inchers just barely fit. Also, I have a table of all Mazda3 world-wide specifications. From this table, it can be seen that Mazda only offers 15-inch wheels with the smaller 278mm(f) 265mm(r) rotors (which are on the 2.0l N. American-spec Mazda3's).

But again, these are just numbers, I haven't actually put a Sport GT on a hoist and tried fitting 15-inch wheels.

Great info... that's what I was suspecting too consider all GT models comes with 16".

What about bolt pattens? 5*114.3? Does the P5 and Mazda 3 has the same bolt patten?

wong: notice you have got the GT Sedan, congrat! :)

Thanks, but my Mazda3 is still a long time away. I just ordered early while I'm still eligible for a certain price plan - delivery is actually in April (after winter).

As for bolt patterns, I don't know the answer to your question. This is the only info I have on the Mazda3 wheels at the moment:

- offset is 52.5 for all wheels
- 15-inch is 6.0J*15
- 16-inch is 6.5J*16
- 17-inch is 6.5J*17
- recommended inflation 32psi for all wheels

Edit: New Phase!, please add your location to your profile, it really helps with giving location specific info

Good info, I am located in Ottawa, Canada. Does the US model different than the Canadian model? I notice we don't have HIDs on the Canadian side (not even as an option)
