Hello everyone - new to this forum and finally done lurking. Don't have my MS3 yet, but it will happen soon. Looking at a mineral gray GT. My current vehicle is a 2005 Camry se 4cyl which I know is quite gay, but reliable as a rock.

I have had performance cars in the past, last one being a Factory Five Roadster ( cobra replica ) that I built myself with a 408 stroker motor I also built myself. I have built a couple 302's in the past as well. The car Dyno'd 460 rwhp and close to 500 ft lbs at the wheels. Sold it cause I have 2 kids and no time to enjoy a car with no top, 2 seats, and crazy loud side pipes. It was a blast but now it's somebody else's fun. It was honestly a fairly dangerous car.

I'm choosing the MS3 for a daily driver because of it's combination. Affordable, practical, good looking, performance car with great seats and great handling. Also really looking forward to owning a turbo car as I've never owned anything with a power adder or forced induction.

Steve

welcome steve. I am sure you will be quite happy with the car! make sure you post some pics when you get it!

Welcome! I can't say I've ever driven anything as powerful as what you came from, but I do love this car. I look for excuses to drive, especially on a day like today where it is a record high temp, close to 60 deg today. It is truly a daily driver; has just the right combination of speed, handling, space, and comfort.

Welcome to the forum !!
I got mine for a lot of the same reasons as you. Still puts a smile on my face daily.

Thanks guys - I'm really looking forward to getting the car and very much resisting the urge to mod it. I'm a little torn on getting an AEM CAI or the CPE nano. Must.....resist......mods....

Welcome, Mineral gray or Metro Gray?

Sorry Metro Grey Mica is what I meant. Have a black car now and wife drives a black Maxima so no more black cars. I like the white actually but there's not a white GT locally.

I live in SW Michigan so snow tires are planned.

Welcome to the group. Take care of your baby and treat her right. Oh, yeah: Guard your wallet.

Good plan. I have all seasons on the stock rims and they are adequate, so if you do not want the hassle of switching rims 2x/year, this is an option. I really thought hard about that, and the clincher was the fact that snow tires are only good in snow and ice and that is a very small % of time in winter. Most of this winter was just cold and dry. The only things my all seasons would not do is climb my driveway when the snow was slippery (meaning close to 30 deg). I just had to park on the road, shovel, then pull in. The all seasons worked great in the summer as well.

Down here in SW Michigan on the other side of the lake, we get the lake effect snow and we really got slammed this year. Since putting snow's on my wife's car last year, all I can say is this is the way I will be spending my money. The difference is nothing short of amazing. The all seasons are good. It's what I've always run until last year, but they are a compromise and on a car with this much HP, I want all the traction I can get.

Ah, didnt see you were from Michigan. Check out the Michigan section. We have a decent group of guys. Most of us are modded in some form or another so if you have questions, need parts or just want to chat join up. Also, we do some get togethers and fun runs. SW Mi where?
