New Wheels!!!

I had to tell someone, cause the wifey just won't understand. Just ordered them today from my local mazda dealer. I know the parts guy and I got these for $2k. 16.9 lbs. a piece. Should go quite well with my Black Mica.

Guess I should clarify a bit more... Sorry, too excited.
But I bought the Gold wheels. I just couldn't justify dropping 6 large on wheels for the magnesium ones. Although I would have been pretty exclusive.

great looking wheels! i wanted them for myself, but dropping about 5 bills on a rim is too rich for my blood.. your car may be my favorite black mica of all when these are put on with a drop.

They have the exact specifications as the stock RX-8 wheel. Of course aside from then weighing 16.9 lbs. a pop! And no TPMS will not work with these wheels. I check my pressures everytime I fill up with gas out of habit anyways so not having the TPMS will not be that big of a deal for me. Or perhaps that is my fuzzy justification for not having the TPMS?

Derek88- Yes. Those are the ones! They had them in a metallic color as well, but IMO dark rims on dark cars is a little played out. Plus I feel that gold is a little more J-style.

I'm gonna hang onto the stock wheels and associated hardware for the winters.

And yes, they are 18's.

I wanted something that of course made it look good, but still had functionality. I was about to buy Volk RE30's, but when I was browsing the web I stumbled on these.

Not that I "need" the TPMS, either...
I just don't want the damn car beeping at me or an annoying light on the dash telling me the sensors aren't there 24/7.

When i purchased my wheels they said the TPS would not work either. When the wheels arrived it was because the valve stems supplied by the manufacturer would not hold the tpms sensor properly. We were able to use the valve stems from the stock wheels and everything worked fine. Im not saying you can do the same but maybe check it out.

I know what your saying about the annoying beep the car makes when the TPMS goes off...

I will definitely see if the dealer can install the TPMS on the new wheels.

I was talking to the parts guy at the dealership and he was saying there are only 9 of these wheels left in the states! Does anyone know of another MS3 having these wheels? I haven't even seen them on an RX-8.

Luckily it didn't bend the wheel. It just scratched the lip and scraped the face a bit. Here's some more pics of the face of the wheel.
