Sadly the legal system doesn't work that way. Don't want to thread jack or start an argument but do some searching in the forums to see how many people have been denied warranty coverage for minor bolt ons.

Then they just laid down and took it in the ___.

Bottom line is that the DEALER has to proove that he mod caused the defect or problem.

Dealers can relate pretty much anything engine related to things as simple as an intake. Getting warranty work with aftermarket parts is a gamble with the integrity of the dealer. They might help you with minor problems but things wont look so pretty when something serious happens. Bottom line is mazda has much more money / represenation than you. The legal system isn't that simple. I had a friend with a subaru. He was super close with the dealer getting his oil changes, just visiting, etc. His tranny gave during normal driving. Had his car towed in and the dealer wouldn't touch it. Also saw a nice looking white speed 6 with a blown rod at the mazda dealer where I used to live. I asked about it and the dealer said they wouldn't cover it because it was discovered he had a flash tune. Other than that his car was stock (at least what the dealer thought).
