new turbo kits

the kit looks good....the extreme kit comes with the FMIC and the fuel control system. I have no idea how to tune it, but it looks like it will work well.

i already have this kit and i am running it now. it is not a bad kit at all. the tuning is a little tricky if you dont have the proper tools (lambda meter) and the installation requires a little modifacation for the mp3. i am running 6lbs right now with no problems. i can get these kits cheaper because i run a performance shop in ohio and can get wholesale prices. there are some mods to the injector controller needed to make it fit on the throttle body. other than that i have had no problems. let me know if you want any pics or if you are interested.

yeah man, I'm interested....what can you sell me one for?? I'm looking for the "extreme" (even though I don't consider 7psi extreme).

lets see pictures, i spend most fo the day working on my car soo i didnt call so give us some details/

i will post some pics tomorrow i am at work right now and my car is at home. i will take some pics tomorrow and post them as soon as i can. should be around noon or so. thanks

MPI has had the extra injectors along with a piggyback for some time now. They are not much more, but you get a piggyback that controls timing also. This kit does look great and it just adds the growing aftermarket support. Hopefully we will get the support the "everyone" else does!

seriously this looks like a nice kit. I've been reading more about it. What I'm worried about is the intercooler/intake plumbing not matching the body of the P5 if it's made for the 626.

Also, that method of control is not "confidence-inspiring". Maybe if there were numerous people using this type of system that could give us advice on it. Someone who could preset it for use when the kit is sold....etc. I don't feel comfortable tinkering with that controller. I'd have to have it set and then leave it alone.

Another thought is the T25 size....most T3's are running 6-8psi. This T25 should be huffing 10psi MINIMUM. I'm sure that can be corrected!!

theres guy that built a turbod p5 custom turbo set-up uses the same kind of controller and ran like 13.7 or something on a t3/t4 at 8psi i believe. hes the one that told me thats the key to concuring our motor. the added fuel injector.

he could have gone faster but he wanted the car to last he wasnt just goign to turn the boost up for nothing.

I'm looking for a good small turbo set-up...I like the T25 for it's super-fast spool, but you can't knock the awesome range of the T3/T4!! That turbo will huff all day!! I think for this price though this is the best turbo kit you can get.....seriously. It's MUCH lower than I thought. This guy even has the same MP3 ecu I do....so I could borrow whatever settings he's using. I could basically have it plug and play for less than $2500. With the T25 you can run up about 15-16psi before it's out of it's efficency, but with the included FMIC it may bump that up a little. I'm actually thinking about doing it next week. I'll have to smooth over the wife first!!

well wait a min cause i could look into making the same set up for you if you want a t3/t4 for aroudn that price. how serious are you? pm me your cell.

I wonder if it will fit the pr5... the price is very reasonable even though my choice on hairdryer would be the T3/T4. wish they had a upgrade. Next week sounds good to me to add some boost..(burnout).I wonder what would be the numbers on this kit? Hiboost with there kit doubles the stock hp but this kit claims 35% increase... a little low isnt it?

I highly doubt you could get me a T3/T4 turbo kit with FMIC and complete (extra injector) injection and fuel control for what this guy quoted me. I'm VERY serious about buying this. Also, given my past experiences with this motor I'm not real keen on the idea of throwing a lot of pressure at it. a T3/T4 may be too large for waht I want to do. I could use the smaller T25 and just run higher boost to reach the same cfm flow rate. I'll tell you what thought Corwin...just pm with the details. I'll be more than happy to talk with you about it.

I don't want to quote his pricing on here...if he had wanted to make it public he would've responded here when I asked him....pm me and I'll send you his quote. The FMIC size is listed on the website.

I wonder what exactly needs to be modified. I also wonder if a FM O2 voltage clamp would be neccessary for closed loop operation. Even though you're controlling an extra injector, the ECU will still see overly rich conditions and pull from the stock injectors. I was also hoping for a T3 setup, but a BB T25 is always nice :). Something to consider I suppose.

I don't really see a need for a T3 over a T25....it's all about flow rate anyway. A FS-DE motor will only handle so much pressure...it may be 15psi from a T25 or 9psi from a T3, but it's still the same flowrate. I'd prefer to have the smaller T25 for it's spool up time.

The way I understood the fuel controller was that it is based on rpm, engine load, injector duty cycle and MAP. This would activate or de-activate the extra injector.

The guy who said he was a re-seller has it running on an mp3 with no problems and he's got advanced timing. Maybe its not so bad of a system?!?! He's only running 6psi though...I was hoping for at least 10psi on the T25.
