New to Mazda

Hello All!

I just purchased a new 2011 CX 7 last week and after looking around on here I see a lot of people have had issues with timing chains. Is this something that is common on this engine? I have the 2.5 L (non-turbo) version.

Also Im just curious if theres any other things I need to watch out for. Overall it seems like this is a solid vehicle.

Lastly; does anyone know if the dual-exhaust from another CX 7 will swap over to a single with low headache? I noticed theres a pop-out in the bumper for the other side.

I found a 2010 CX 7 at a salvage yard that was totaled in a front end collision. When I stopped in and asked about it they said I could have it for $50 (The exhaust).

yeah, this little corner is a little quiet, but we still have some very knowledgeable people lurking in the shadows.

to answer your questions, i have never heard of the 2.5 having a timing chain issue....

and to be honest, i'm not really sure on the exhaust, but an educated guess is going to say no.
