New Tire Replacement Question

Those NITTO - NT850 Plus CUV...by Toyo at tirebuyer.com
have a speed rating of V and wear rating of 500 (I believe)
Yep, I knew about the Contis (the speed rating is only H I believe) and I will be just fine until later next year. Hopefully then there will be more choices for the GT!! I bought my GT last April and have not had them out in snow yep...but like you will be surprised if they are good in snow.

Would like to see Michelin and Perilli make something for us!

BTW I had Contis on my departed 2013 Subaru Outback (don't remember the model though) and found them lacking in handling, ride etc, and noisy!

My Contis are very quiet, don't even hear them on the 545i, As for the Toyo's from factory they have a 300 wear right on the tire. I to am hoping more come available by the time I need tires. Very little choice right now. I personally would have like 17", but I really like the GT added stuff. Mostly wanted the leather.

No question that tires (noise, handling etc) are affected by the automobile's suspension steering etc...Glad your are ok and happy to be in the CX-5 over the Subie!
Like you I was tempted to get the Touring for the 17" tire/wheel, but the equipment in the GT floored me for the $$, compared to many others in its class!
Since I have a 2015, I have the HID headlights (no LEDs) and am simply enthralled with the amount of light they throw, not to mention the articulating feature.
Driving in the dark is safe once again!

what does the preferred service give you ??
I've been at work but the preferred service is basically the lifetime (1,000,000 miles) power train warranty. They must do all the oil changes and repairs. It is $70 for each oil change which includes checking all fluids and tire rotation. Overall I guess it isn't that bad of a deal.

would check reviews at Tirerack.com and then when you decide on the tire (or acceptable options) price them out at other websites or local dealers.

personally i like Pirelli Cintauro as good Grand Touring all-season tires (and they come in the 19" size). but i haven't gotten to the point where i have replaced mine yet but i had a good experience with them on a previous car.
