New Texas Laws on Tint

I got an email showing the new texas laws on certain things. From what I can understand on one of them, it is now legal to tint your windows 25% as opposed to the previous limit of 35%. If someone is better at reading the law than I am can you tell me if this is what its saying? tint law

Theres a nice long interesting list, althought they didnt ban the use of cell phones while driving.

I WOULD tint my windows but I am not spending any money on my car for a while. I never knew it was going to be this hard to not spend my money but I'm doing pretty good now.

I wonder if they consider the orange looking tint I want to get as Amber color? Also, does this mean we can have darker tint or have to have lighter tint?

I want to know before dishing out the money for the tint. I would hate to have another episode like I had on sport bike coming back from Ennis,Tx.

Talk about police brutality!(stooges) and you think guys with sports cars get hassled, s***! not near as much as sport bike riders....

thanks needed that list to just peeve me off. So in english from what i understand the tint cannot be darker than 25 Percent and I cannot have blue tint?? That peeves me I was about to paint my car and get blue tint OOOOOH I hate that wabbit.

It's most definately being raised and NOT lowered, to 35% visibility, not 25%. 25% was that legal limit that was JUST raised to 35%...

I just got my windows tinted and had a long talk with the tint guy about going darker cuz my car is black with blackouts and i want it all black..........no luck, 35% is as dark as it gets.

So if you have 25% you can possibly be ticketed for having them too dark.....

wrong, the guy you talked too was a moron. Ive had 35% legal limit tint for some time now. And my rear windows were 15%. I have yet to retint them I admit, but I had my car retinted to the legal limit 35% 2 and a half years ago.

One tint place told me 25, the other told me 35.. the 25 place has a better reputation..

I wouldnt go to the other one because the guy trying to sell me tint was crosseyed, I dont want a ****** up tint job, also the guy that owns a MSP there was a total dickhead to me.. /vent

Yeah MSP owners are gay and uptight about their car being slower than it should be.

Don't expect many tint places to know about or admit to knowing about the new law. Besides, they have an ass load of 35% tint lying around they need to get rid of now that there is a new law for 25%

As for going to a tint place, don't ASK them for legal limit tint, just say I want 25% tint in the front and 5% in the back. (for Texas people only) =P
