New stock hood

What would I need to do if i wanted to change my hood out with a regular 3? I dont want the hood scoop since I have a front mount.

For some reason I thought you needed to replace the fenders to do a hood swap. Can anyone confirm?

I do not believe that you have to swap the fenders

maybe it would depend of if you would be swapping it from a sedan or HB, but comparing the speed to my sedan, it looks like you wouldnt have to.

I dont think they are interchangable. I am only going from looks alone. But the Gen 1 MS3 goes down farther on the front of the car than the Gen2. I know my friend wanted to do something with his but couldnt. I would however like to know the weight difference.

I just want to get rid of the scoop, with the regular 3 hood. That way I can make it into a sleeper.

Why would you want to get rid of the scoop it serves a vital purpose of cooling the engine

He will be fine actually. There are alot of Subaru owners I know that switched to a FMIC from the TMIC that they came with just like the mazdas.

So I have been reading around and it looks like you would have to replace the front bumper also.

That is what I thought. Can you alter the Gen1 bumper to fit up with the Gen1 hood. You could be the first to do a full front end swap. Haha. I do like the Gen1 fogs a lot better than mine
