New rotors. Who's got them?

Uh oh, you got him started. I'm pretty much set on the dba slotted, so go ahead and take this thread where ever it needs to go.

Lol

Nah, I just figured I'd answer what was a pretty simple question...I'm not looking to get into e-arguments over this here...I've fought that fight enough times elsewhere. (lol2)

im pretty sure they do. i could have sworn that ive seen them before..

Yeah I thought for some time that you could get them too, but that notion was de-bunked on one of the other forums (at least for the MS3 platform)...Nobody can find anyone that sells solids/blanks, anyway. If you know of a part number or a vendor that has some though, let me know!

ill look into it. i get pretty bored here at work so that will give me something to do. ill let you know tomorrow if i find anything.

take a look at some of the negative reviews on tire rack for dba 4000 series rotors. people that track with these rotors have nothing nice to say about them. good luck.

oem blanks are probably your best choice.

Interesting. I don't think anyone can touch Tire Rack's price of $115 each. There are some nightmare reviews, but all the reviews average out to 8.2 out of 10. Getting a quote on OEM's...

Thanks for clearing up the differences in slotted, drilled,etc... good luck purchasing whatever you choose!

I don't know anything about brakes, so i was wondering what the advantages were to having slotted rotors.... and why not drilled???? I don't want to start anything, but I honestly have no clue, except I thought Slotted/Drilled were the best + they looked cool.

Slotted and drilled vent off gases better and reduce glazing under extreme conditions. IMO, I don't see an advantage to either unless your at the track.

Brembo Blanks, Hawk Pads /thread. Not sure what all is available for the MS3 yet, but when I do mine, that's what I'm looking to do. Ran the same on my S2000 in AutoCross for years and loved them.

If you're using pads that "gas" you're using bad pads...

If your pads are glazing, you're not using the proper pads for your application...

There isn't an advantage to using drilled rotors "at the track." In fact, many people would argue that it is a distinct disadvantage.

And as far as I know, there are no Brembo blanks available for the MS3 yet.
