So since i bought my car used, of course I'm missing OEM stuff. Which included the sweet shift boot. So I ordered a real carbon fiber one from this guy jason. I put it in today and I love it. Looks awesome, if any of you are interested in one his email is Jayginaburnett@aol.com, just let him know you saw my post on the forums and I'm sure he'll be happy to hook you up with one. You can get any color stitching you want. What do you guys think!?

yes i bought it off ebay, but the guy who sells them on ebay, his name is jason, he custom makes them. So it takes him a few days to make them before he can ship it. thats why you can get any color stitching you want. i ordered mine last friday and I received it yesterday.

How is it mounted? Does it come with the washer attached to the top?

i dont know what washer you are talking about (maybe thats because i dont know how the OEM is mounted). but it has slips that you just place on the plastic inserts that are around the casing of the shift boot mount. it only took me about 3 minutes to install. not difficult at all.

Pretty cool, the carbon fiber goes really well with the top of the knob. I do like mine better for a number of reasons.... mostly, even though you've got yellow stitching like your seats, the orange on mine is the same width and everything, so it matches perfect, and yours has got a bit of the 'grand canyon effect' going on.

BUT, i paid $50 for mine..... so, good score!! I bet it would be REALLY hot with the DG carbon fibre cupholder piece.

noooo not at all. its very soft actually. it feels sorta like ultra suede.

no problem. it wasnt that odd of a question. even when i ordered it i wondered what it would be like, never really hear of actual REAL carbon fiber boots, its usually just the look alike stuff.
