New Product: CorkSport 'Power Series' Downpipe

I just need to know if the s pipe will mate up with the apex j pipe. I would buy both of the peices, but only use the s pipe.

sorry i don't have the answer to that, i just got the above info from the other thread.

judging from the pictures, my guess would be yes. not to mention, it would be a significant marketing handicap to constrain your products to the limited group, to an already limited group of msp's.

The CorkSport 'Power Series' Downpipe is constructed of T304 stainless steel with a polished finish. Mandrel bent for maximum flow design. Replaces factory two piece cast pipes (commonly referred to as the J-Pipe and S-Pipe).

We are currently taking preorders. The introductory price is $199, regular MSRP will be $249.

are you corksport or are you representing them or are you a retailer reselling their product?

Im going to try and answer as many of these questions as possible here..

*It has an 02 bung for using with Power Series exhaust system. It can be plugged if using another system.

*The price Ive listed on our website is our regular price, I can take phone orders for the pre-order $199 price.

*199-$249 is a VERY reasonable price for this product. No other company out there offers a COMPLETE turbo-back stainless steel exhaust system for $638 (MSRP).

*There is very little room for this 60mm downpipe as it is. There is absolutely no extra room for an external wastegate tube.

*From what I understand, the IC pipes are still a bit of time off. Issues with the prototypes are being worked out. Expect 2+ months before theyre ready.

*The Power Series downpipe is a two-piece pipe replacing both J and S pipes. These pipes are not tested on any other half-downpipe pieces and will not be sold separately.

*I work for HorsepowerFreaks, who is a company that resells CorkSport product. Ive run their stuff on my own cars for years (Im on my 3rd Mazda car) and have always been impressed with the quality of their product.

Retailer reselling product.

In the other thread, it was stated that the flange between the CS S and J is different than the stock flange, so if that is true then the Apex will not boly up. But you could just get another flange and weld it on the CS S.

He is answering a question. He is saying Derrick (one of the owners of CS) told him these downpipe pieces would not be sold separately.

I'm trying to figure this dp out. It sounds as this dp is made for the cork sport exhaust, as I understand that exhaust eliminates a cat right? Then that means this dp is made to bolt up to stock cat section. Correct me if I am wrong, I'm trying to figure it out as I am looking to buy this if it will bolt up as money is an issue for me.

Totally not trying to sound like an ass, but 200 dollars just for that pipe? Is the stock setup there really that restrictive? Can we see a dyno? Thanks! :)

search a little bit, the apex dp alone is 300 for catless and the Hiboost s pipe is like 200 by its self.

this looks like a great product and at a great price.

The Power Series Downpipe just replaces the factory downpipe. It replaces the pieces commonly referred to as the 'J-Pipe' and 'S-Pipe'. The cats do not come until after the downpipe. The Power Series Downpipe is not any shorter or longer than the factory cast pieces, it's a direct replacement.

I was meaning will it bolt up to the stock exhaust. I've already done the cat back now need a down pipe and for the price this looks good. So will it bolt to stock? Thanks for the help.

(bang) (bang) (bang)

Why couldnt this bolt onto the Apex DP and saved us all the trouble (doh)

Looks like an amazing product....I sure hope someone can figure out if it bolts up the the Apex DP....if so, pre-orders will be flying in...

I'm not 100% sure on dyno testing at this point.

Also, it looks like I will only have 5 of these available for pre-order. So plan accordingly. :)

so only the first 5 preorders are gettin the 199 price. and for the rest its 239??? do i have that right?

That's how it appears, sorry.....

I think the next batch will be $199 also.... There shouldn't be a shortage of pipes for $199, just a shortage for the first batch.

You guys should check into whether or not the s-pipe section will bolt to the apex j-pipe/midpipe. If it does I'm sure you'll get a ton of sales that way.
