Ah, that good ol' diesel sound. (thumb) After it warms up, you still can hear it, right? Just not as loud.

hahaha, my bud has JE pistons and they sound like that. They sound very strong though. :D

is the noise very audible in the car???

the only thing that scares me about going forged is the noise.

the sound dies down but it still remains there until i floor it and then the sound is just smooth acceleration. I love it.

You can definately tell it isnt stock at idle.

the turbo i got from a hook up in Japan. it is the gt28rs (disco potato with a custom compressor wheel that flows up to at least 450 whp)

The manifold was designed specifically for me by the designer who designs the manifolds for the JIC drag protege car. it pays to have connections. Oh, and im also having him make me a custom s-pipe. I nitched the v-band idea. the s-pipe starts ovular then goes to 2.75 inches ID. it should flow damn good.

the sound reminded me a bit of when my rod was kncoking the first time, but i know that this sound is different because the sound doesnt get louder, it gets quieter. The sound definately freaked me out for a bit, but now i know it is normal.

Why would it scare you? Just think of it as a diesel until you get warmed up properly. :D

yeah, but I hate the sounds of deisel.LOL.

ah, it still wouldnt stop me. I am waiting till I need to change my engine. I got 85000 km know and drive about45000 a year.

once I need a rebuild I am going forged.

looking for turbo in the next 6 months of so.

Azian, would you recommend wagners block, you figure it will hold up to the abuse of a daily driven 12-14 psi

So would anyone be able to get the manifold that your going to get or is it just something that you got hooked up with?

Matt

seats are sparco tonrino 2's.

You might be able to get the manifold, but i got it done as a favor through a friend so i dont know if it will be possible. I can check though
i know it will be very expensive though for people who arent linked directly to my friend. His manifolds are around 700 normally.
