New Parts!

yea, ive heard about the endlinks snapping too, but not the tabs on the strut. if it is the tabs, then that IS bad. im planning on picking up this sway bar as well, but i think if it is the end links and not the tabs that are known to break, then ill probably get those from mazda garage as well.

Yeah, because they make stiffer endlinks, if my stockers break off ill just get new ones lol. But ive been told I should be ok with my stockers.

only one way to find out : )

Stock endlink mounting tabs on the rear struts are weaker than those on Tokico struts. Many breakages reported with aftermarket sway bars.

Specifically, I recall one guy came up on his driveway diagonally and snapped a tab. Don't know the specifics of the other occurrences.

Well its fine with me if it does break, its not like my struts are new or anything, they almost have 70k on them. When/if they break ill just get new struts:)

glad you like the parts

Yeah, other than the timing issue everything went on nice and easy and is still performing well:)

Now that I have some mileage on the UDP and the ECU has fully reset im noticing a bit more power, expecially when the motor isn't fully warmed up, but most of all I love the fact that I can run my A/C now and it hardly affects the motor at all. Before I was getting really bad vibrations in gear stoped at a light and I would have to put it in neutral or turn off the A/C to get rid of it. The A/C really helps this time of year in FL:) Thanks again Ken!

HOLY CRAP! i just checked out the diff on price between protegegarage and corksport, for the rear sway, garage is sellin it for 158, corksport...for 212, man u just saved me some MONEY!

hows the reliability issue going? i plan on getting one but i dont want it to break off my endlinks xP keep us posted!!

question, is the udp worth the 200 some, does it add anything hp or performance wise, or is it just basically letting me keep me keep normal performance but with a/c on?

Everything is still going just fine. Ive put over 5k miles on the UDP and rear bar and no troubles at all with either one.

its quiet :)

Hell yeah it is:)

how easy was the udp install? what was the process? did you have help?

Followed the UDP how to on here somewhere, its pretty much straight foreward on how to get it done. If you have done any work on your car yourself before this should be easy, if it means anything to you the header install was harder.

It does help with the a/c on as far as performance and gas mileage, I have been getting better highway mileage with the windows up and a/c on than with the windows down and a/c off, which is a good thing. Also the engine revs a little faster while in gear. Most of the gains are from taking weight off of the crank though. All I can say is I feel it was worth the money spent and you wouldn't even think of going back to the old one after having this installed. The UDP is a ton lighter than the stock pulley, so you know its going to help out before you even get the thing on the car. I do not regret spending the money though if thats what you were getting at.

You regret spending the money??? Is that a typo?

Sorry, you would be correct on that, I fixed it. I was at the library and had people staring at me so I was kinda rushed lol. I do think its a worth while mod though, and thats comming from someone with an auto, im sure you feel more gains with a MT. Am I correct in asuming that?
