new owner of a Mazda6i

Hi I'm a new user of this forum, though I've been on another Mazda one for a few years. I just traded my 04 MPV for an 05 6i and am the coowner of an 07 3 that I never get to drive anymore.

Anyways, I will be looking for some pointers on moderate modding that doesn't hurt driveability like exhausts, throttle body, lighter wheels, etc.
I'm mostly interested in making the car easier to drive under 3000 rpm, but increased power or mileage wouldn't hurt either.

i just started this fourm today. i live in louisiana with a 2003 mazda 6 2.3. the only mod i have is on my head lights. i installed 8000k hid, led running light bulbs, and 7 halos. 3 in each headlight and one behind the emblem on the grill.
and was one day looking for a turbo kit and was woundering if any one would know how much boost can a factory motor take safely with a manual 5 speed transmission.
