New MSP Short-Ram Intake

Any dyno #s as yet?

No, there will be no dyno testing. We're not really trying to market this product to the general public. The people who want to buy the SRI probably already have an understanding of how an intake like this will benifit their car, rather than going by embroidered numbers to determine it's validity.

Cool. Why not market it to the general public though? I think many ppl would be interested.

We'll see how the first group buy goes. And maybe set up more in the future. But the first run will only be five.

what color powder coating
red or silver would be my preferences
black would be third
thanks for setting this up man, i appreciate it

Would you guys be interested in a Bosch BPV included with the intake for an extra $20 ($235 total)? With that you wouldn't have to take off the "special one-time clamps" on the stock BPV.

since my car is at the dealer right now, getting flashed, could you elaborate on this for me a little bit more, i cant go out and look at my engine

I want a bov, but I can acknowledge that it will adversely affect my car, and thats not an acceptable trade-off for the pssssssst i want

I can't imagine any ram-air effect happening where the filter sits on the CAI. For one, the filter is blocked by the fog light and bumper. And any air that is sucked into the CAI filter needs to travel upwards and take a 90 degree turn before it starts it's path towards the turbo. You can see this in my scientifically drawn diagram attached. :D

I may be showing my ignorance here...

If I understand this correctly, by removing the Drivers side Fog Light on my 03 MSP and installing the intake "cone" right behind where the fog light used to be, wouldnt that be a perfect fit? The intake would be receiving fresh cool air directly into the cone, the air would travel upwards (correct me if I am wrong), and there is a 90 degree bend (once again, correct me if I am wrong). Thus, creating the correct scenario creating the Ram Air effect.

Am I way off here?
