whats the estimate on shipping?
I'm thinking it shouldn't be more than $25 but once I get an accurate weight I will know better!!
BTW, if we can get over 15 I'll look at some sort of shipping deal...
I live in Australia and I would interested in one of these if the shipping cost isnt too high. As the dimensions of the radiator (and not the weight) will determine the cost of international shipping, could you give me an estimate of what the shipping cost to Australia (postcode 4051) would be? Thanks.
Please put me down. Anyway you can include the new mounting hardware?
OK, so this is the list so far...correct me if I'm wrong

2. boostdprotegelx
3. littlemimus
4. MS_Rick
5. harrisonchang
6. MSPM1chele (if here before june)
By the new mounting hardware what are you referring to?
Unfortunately, for the MSP it will not fit with the OE SMIC in place. You would need to go to a FMIC.
Any plans for a MSP replacement? (That would be cheaper to ship too)
You have quoted the MSP reference from post #5.
If you click Q&A on the link in post #2 and read through that thread, this has been talked about in detail. The basic answer was 'no'. MP3Racer feel free to jump in if this is not correct.
Also following on from my question about shipping to Australia, do you have an estimate of what it cost to send three radiators? Did you manage to talk to someone at Fedex to see about a discount?
Thanks.
Check with the post office. I think the shipping to Australia would be considerably less than FedEx.Estimating the package size and weight I am getting quotes from Fedex online of over $300 due to the size of the package. I can check with them in person tomorrow if there are any cheaper methods.
Definitely would be cheaper to send a few of these together if you can find a few more people interested in Australia!!

Not true. Not possible with a P5 / sedan sized radiator due to the length/girth/width restrictions. Thats what I have been told but it would be great to get confirmation on that as well.
I know that radiator for an MSP is just small enough to be sent via USPS, so I think that the larger radiator would be too big.
Not true.
From http://www.usps.com/prices/global-express-guaranteed-prices.htm:
- Up to 70 pounds
- Individual dimensions may not exceed 46 inches in length by 35 inches in width by 46 inches in height.
Radiator dimensions:
689.5 mm = 27.1456693 in
435 mm = 17.1259843 in
89 mm = 3.50393701 in
And from the same page, $300 would allow you to ship 25 pounds to Australia. I don't know how much the radiator weighs but it should be a lot less than 25 pounds with the packaging and packing material likewise the packaged radiator should be s lot smaller than the maximum allowable dimensions.
AusOrion, you are correct that there are no plans currently for an MSP sized radiator. Take a look, we can't even get close to the minimum for a radiator that will fit a much larger market much less one that only covers about 4000 cars (boom03) (sorry for the negativity but I thought there were more people interested)
One thing that you didnt mention was that maximum girth and length is 108 inches. Girth is 2x height plus 2x width. It doesn't matter though as those dimensions are within the maximum.
Well, I will leave it up to MP3Racer (Tom, I think) to confirm this as I am only going off the USPS website. USPS may be a shipping option. I took a guess that the radiator all packed up was going to 10 pounds and added a couple of inches to each dimension to account for packaging. The USPS site told me that it would be able to be sent via Priority Mail International for US$68.
If this is the case, then I will definitely be in for a new radiator![]()
