Just wanted to say hey to you all....I just got my car about two weeks ago and I LOVE IT! I used to drive a boosted 240sx, but it was time to get something newer & nicer, and I feel like I made a great choice...I'll attach a pic...

Yea the car really is alot of fun to drive stock or modded. Don't turn the boost up without tuning the car though!

Thanks for the welcome's guys.... :)

funny you should say that though, what is the stock boost its supposed to come with? I bought mine from an Infiniti dealer, it has been very well kept, but its only pushing 4 lbs?

Hmm I definately need to get the boyfriend to find out why its only at 4 then, any ideas? This car is totally new to me...I used to be a Nissan chick, still am at heart though...could you image the speed's RWD ;)

how do you know it's boostin 4? what brand of boost gauge do you have?

some autometer gauges read a lil over or low to what they are supposed to

autometer, it also has a oil pressure guage, & air/fuel guage

welcome to the MSP world. It is definetly a terrific car i love mine its so fun to drive even stock like somebody else already said. I would definetly have the car looked at to see if any other modifications have been done the last thing you want is some crappy parts on the MSP. And as far as the boost gauge only reading 4psi its probably just the boost gauge itself not reading correctly b/c a stock MSP is around 6.5PSI. Be safe enjoy the car and keep the boost stock or nothing over like 8psi without supporting mods and engine management

sounds like you may have a boost leak somewhere. what kind of pipes do you have unde rthe hood? hardpipes or plastic? maybe you should post a pic of under there so we can tell you anything else not stock. just in case. but welcome to the forums! the mazdaspeed is a GREAT car but serisouly....you probably wont be getting as much speed out of it as a boosted 240 these motors are pretty weak. just a warning for you but they can be built up. a great site to look into is **************************.com have a good one!
