i just got my msp about a week ago and i love it but today i found that driving it in the rain is not very plesant since i have an injen CAI and its routed down into the fender well and Im not sure because im a noob but yesterday car ran great today car sputters bad at higher boost and i believe its because the filters wet any ideas on rerouting or anything would be helpfull and on a side not any way to make my forge BOV louder and get rid of chatter.

anyone have any pics of where they put there filter? trying to get ideas and im not sure if i just cut the tube and made it shorter if id have enough air flow in the engine bay

the filter gets wet and will suck the water through the turbo and blow it all the way to the motor. if the maf gets wet it will cause it to jerk and spit and spuder. kinda like fuel cut. injen makes a pre-filter that is waterproof that goes over the air filter. keeps water and big dirt pieces off you filter.

ok, first the car should still have splash shields installed in the wheel well. If so, you don't have anything to worry about when raining. I have driven mine through torrential downpours and splashed through puddles with no ill effects. However, with larger puddles, I would slow down and throw it in neutral and let the car roll through the puddles if the water has the potential to come above the bumper. The sputtering is more than likely the stock tune if everything else is mechanically sound. If you don't want to run the full cold air setup, just take the second pipe off and run the filter off of the MAF sensor. I've done it

yea the car still has splash guards but it seems to run worse in the rain then it does in dry weather and it does have a bog or hesitation at higher rpms im gonna try plugs and wires but i dont know were i could get the car tuned around were i live

how would i know if this one has one already or not i know it sounds dumb but im new to cars i have always been a motocrosser but i dont know what all is done to this car for sure since when i baught it it already had a forge BOV, a injen CAI, and a street unit cold pipe already installed.

ECU is located on the passenger floorboard where your feet would naturally rest. Pull the carpet back and you will see a metal panel held down by 4 nuts. Pull that panel off and the ECU is on the backside of it. But you should be able to see the wire harness without doing that. Just pull the carpet back and look at the harness and see if there are multiple wires spliced into something else.
