New Motor

So i blew my motor and im just wondering if you can swap a regular 2.0 fs protege motor?
if so what exactly do you have to do to make it work?
thank you

YESSIR.. just swap the inch thick plate above the oil pan because it has the spot for the oil return line.. you also need to take the lines from the turbo and transfer them to that engine.

the only differences between a reg protege 2.0l and the msp is the manifold, turbo, lines, and the plate above the oil pan for the return oil line from the turbo

well i got a protege motor for it and when they installed it they took for a test drive and within 5 minutes of test driving it the motor blew a hole through the front and bent my oil pan.
but idk if the shop swapped over the plate or not so im gonna go check on that today.
the place i got the motor from is finding me a new motor and throughly checking it this time so it doesnt blow again.
havent had my car in over a month

i've never seen the inside of one of the non turbo fs but i know the turbo fs has oil squirters under the pistons to keep them cool, and i know that some cars( third gen supras) have oil squirters on the turbos but not on the non. also i think that the valve springs are different on the non turbo. not sure about it, just some ideas to keep in mind

absolutely not they are the same besides the bolt ons.. i would imagine with that first engine they didnt hook up the vacuum line to the wastegate or something and over boosted and blew it..
